        Introduction of Security and Safeguard Department

    The Security and Safeguard department，a important component of school Party Committee and administration, is a main functional department to safeguard the safe and stability of school and maintain the normal order of campus. Be in charge of the Party Committee of school and the president, Security and Safeguard department take on all tasks of campus’ safeguard, such as public security management, fire control, public security comprehensive administration, student's household register and ID card management, and the campus entrance guard management, campus patrolling, campus traffic order, floating population management, civil mediation and cooperate with police to investigate and prosecute all kinds of cases, and so on.
    This department includes 5 section offices, namely household register office (concurrently as the department office), policy protect section, public security section, fire control section, public security comprehensive administration section. Presently, there are 10 Safeguard cadres and 92 team members of security.
    For a long time, by the right guidance of school Party Committee and the guide and supporting of police, the Security and Safeguard department has made due contribution and acquired remarkable achievements, in different historical periods of school's development. Such as safeguard the safe and stability of school; guarantee teaching, scientific research and harmony of every other work going on smoothly; ensure the legitimate rights and interests of teachers and students, and so on.
    The Security and Safeguard department has been authorized the collective commendation or cited for collective third-class merit by the police of Beijing eight times in succession since 1996; the department was chosen as the advanced group of school in 2000. Among the Safeguard cadres, many people are chosen as individual commendation by the police of Beijing and cited for third-class merit many times, advanced individual of State Security Bureau of Beijing, advanced worker of the academy of safeguard the universities of Beijing, advanced individual who struggle with Falun Gong evil cult in Beijing, advanced individual of social public security comprehensive administration of Chaoyang District and regional, advanced worker of the school, outstanding Communist , former broadcasting and TV department spiritual civilization advanced individual ,etc.. The security team have played a positive role in maintaining the school public security order, attacking the incidents of breaking laws and committing the crime, and handling accidents, etc. Since 1993, the Security team has been cited for collective second-class merit by parent security company of Beijing once, cited for collective third-class merit by Security company 4 times, win commend collectively by security company 5 times.
