The International Communications College has an enrollment
of 1368 students, including 14 doctoral candidates, 208 postgraduates
for master¨s degree and 1164 undergraduates currently. There
are 56 undergraduate classes and a team of full-time instructors
and class masters in charge of the students, most of whom are
the teachers with strong academic competence and highly political
caliber. This offers advantageous conditions for improving performance
of student management.
Under the Party General Branch of The International Communications
College are the Student Affairs Office, the League Subcommittee
and the Student Union. The International Communications College
boasts an array of qualified student officials and more than
100 student Party members. According to the arrangement of the
Party Committee of the university, two sessions of part-time
Party school are hold every academic semester, with a total
of about 200 students.
To serve central task of The International Communications
College, we attach great importance of improvement of students¨
all-round quality. The spirit of teamwork and the sense of innovation
of the students are upgraded. We regularly host seminars and
invite internationally well known scholars to give lectures
to help students clarify their goals and perfect themselves.
With the College¨s distinctive features of news communication
and foreign languages, every year we host foreign language festivals
and singer contest and so on. Through these activities the students
can show their talents, and also enjoy a rich and active life
in their spare time.
To highlight its characteristics, The International Communications
College has established cooperation and exchange relations and
signed agreements with many foreign universities and institutions.
Half of undergraduates in The International Communications College
have opportunitiesto go abroad to study.
We are trying to perfect regulations of student management
and strengthen student management so as to find a new way for
training professionals of news communication and foreign languages.
